Welcome to your personal recommendations page! This may seem like a lot, but it’s meant to be a resource that you can come back to as you build your essential oils collection. I recommend starting with the Home Essentials Kit (HE Kit) or picking a handful of other oils that you’d like to start with. Then, as you get used to those oils, and get a feel for how you like to incorporate them in your life, you can come back here and add to your collection.
If you have any questions, please email me at Alicia@LaVieCreative.co or text/call any time!
Here are links to the meditation app I use as well as one a friend of mine uses, and iTunes playlist I mentioned.
These are the essential oils I recommend for morning meditations. All of the sleep oils I will recommend can also be incorporated into a meditation practice at bedtime. When using oils for meditation, I like to put a couple drops in my hands, then take deep breaths with my hands cupped in front of my face. You can also rub a little on the back of your neck, over your heart center, or on your third eye.
Frankincense (HE kit):
Frank promotes the ability to let go of low vibrations and negativity. It helps to create new perspectives and opens you up to new perspectives and positive understanding.
Lavender (HE kit):
Not just for relaxation, lavender releases tension from withheld expression + supports in sharing your true self. It promotes open communication, calm, + peace of mind.
Promotes feelings of tranquility and calm, while tree oils help to ground emotions. This is an especially good oil to use during or at the start of a busy day to keep your thoughts and emotions grounded. I love to diffuse this oil in my car!
Like all citrus oils (lemon, lime, green mandarin, etc) bergamot uplifts your energy + emotions. It promotes feelings of confidence + optimism. This is one of my favorite oils to start the day with.
This is more of a woody scent and I love to mix it with something like lavender or bergamot. It is good for us perfectionists, to help go with the flow and opens you up if you’re feeling emotionally stuck or tense. It gets your energy moving!
These are my favorite oils to combat brain fog:
Lemon (HE kit) (or any citrus oils)
diffuse with peppermint and/or lavender, inhale straight from the bottle, put a drop under your tongue, or inhale from cupped hands as directed above in meditations.
Peppermint (HE Kit)
diffuse with lemon, inhale straight from the bottle or cupped hands, rub a drop on temples (be careful of your eyes!)
Frankincense (HE Kit)
put a drop on your thumb, then press onto the roof of your mouth for a couple seconds
Rosemary (HE Kit)
diffuse for concentration and to relieve nervous energy + tension + stress
rub on temples + neck + jaw to relieve tension headaches or after sitting at a desk for a long period of time (be careful of your eyes!)
Sleep can be tricky depending on the causes of your sleep deprivation. These oils, however, are the go-to guys for most sleep problems. You can also see the sleep potion that I use here. If you create your own blend with any of these oils, I recommend rubbing it on the soles of your feet, tailbone, and/or back of your neck. These can also be inhaled for a bedtime meditation. I diffuse Cedarwood, frankincense, and eucalyptus every night, then will use my roller ball blend if I’m starting to go through a bought of insomnia, or have had a really busy/stressful day and need help to unwind.
calming, grounding, sedative (I also frequently use this oil in meditations)
grounding, relaxing, sedative
antidepressant, calming, relaxing, sedative (you can also use the clary calm blend which has other great hormone balancing benefits, too)
Frankincense (HE kit) (you’ll notice that this guy is everywhere — this oil is the ultimate go-to, people say “when in doubt, grab Frank”)
antidepressant, calming, restorative
supports respiratory system, clears the mind, relaxing
helps calm and soothe the nervous system
Lavender (HE kit):
This one you’ll have to test out to see how it works for you. Lavender is energizing for some people (me included).
calming, relaxing, sedative
NIECES + ALEXANDRA
For them, I suggest grounding, calming, and hormone balancing oils.
It’s main claim to fame is supporting women’s menstrual cycle by balancing hormones, but it also balances moods and relieves anxiety. This was the first oil that really got me hooked. When my anxiety is bad, or if I know my period is on its way, I don’t leave home without a bottle of this. I have used this blend during full blown panic attacks and it calms me down immediately. It can be rubbed over the uterus for menstrual cycle/hormone support (can alleviate cramps) or rubbed on wrists + back of neck for emotional support.
Described in the meditation section above, this is another beautiful blend for emotional support. As the “grounding blend” this is especially useful to help ground emotions during busy times when there are tons of distractions, stress, and bad news swirling around.
I have not personally used this blend, but I have heard wonderful things about it for anxiety and similar properties to the balance blend.
Beauty Blend Body Oil
This is the body oil spray I mentioned. It has an amazing aroma, and is so hydrating.
I’ve used most of these spa products and they’re all great if you’re looking to get anything else like that for gifts.
So this is tricky without know exactly what is causing his issues, but there are ways to try to support his body so maybe the symptoms can be alleviated. Also, I would suggested talking to an Integrative/Functional medicine doctor. They are the doctors that will get to the root cause of any symptoms, and if it is autoimmune, they’ll figure it out. Because he does have some diet stuff that should be addressed, he could consider the Paleo diet, which promotes nutrient dense food. The diet that I’m on is a more restrictive version of paleo.
Supports healthy liver function and the body natural detox pathways. Because he has issues with synthetic fragrances, issues with his body’s ability to detox could be at play. There are supplement versions of this oil if he doesn’t want to use the straight oil.
This is like the all natural, essential oil version of Vix vapor rub. It supports the respiratory system and can help combat allergies. It can be rubbed on the chest (using the stick) and/or diffused at night (using the oil).
Lifelong Vitality Supplements
I haven’t used these supplements myself because my functional doctor already has me on 13 supplements a day for my autoimmune stuff, but I’ve heard that these are incredible for energy and nutrient support. They’re like multivitamins on steroids. If you are concerned he has an autoimmune condition, nutrient deficiency is a big factor in autoimmune disease. But, these are beneficial for anyone, especially if diet is less than ideal. Again, I highly recommend seeing a functional doctor.
Dilution ratios for elderly: 1 drop of essential oil per teaspoon of carrier oil (fractionated coconut oil). You can remake a diluted blend and store in a glass bottle for use (I get small amber glass bottles on amazon).

This is the brand of CBD oil products that I use. I use the vape pens for anxiety, sleep, and to help focus; and the topical oil for pain relief. The vape pens are all natural and only include pure CBD oil and coconut oil. They do not have THC, which means they have all of the relaxing properties without the psychoactive effects.
